Ieyoung Contemporary Art Museum opened in June 2001 to showcase artworks that were personally collected by the gallery owners. The Latin American Cultural Center Museum was established in 1994 to inform visitors about the culture and arts of Latin America. The museum exhibits artifacts from the Maya, Aztec, Inca, and early colony period that represents Latin America, as well as paintings, sculptures, traditional cloth and more from artists that represents the region. 💡 Overview

Beomnyunsa Temple, located at the foot of Munsusan Mountain in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, consists of Geungnakbojeon Hall, Gwaneumjeon Hall, Samseonggak Hall, Beomjonggak Hall, and other buildings.

The sizable 430-square-meter Daeungjeon Hall was built in an open form of the Chinese character “亞” (“ah”) in a Southern Buddhist style. The hall, made of indigenous red pine tree from Baekdusan Mountain, contains a 53-ton stone Buddha Statue (three times bigger in size than the statue in Seokguram Grotto) and a 33-ton stone Munsu Bohyeon Buddhist Saint Statue. On the left wall are 104 Sinjungnim (guardians of Buddhist law) as well as a Dongjin Boan Buddhist Saint Statue. There are also 1,250 Buddhist saint statues, symbolizing the devotion of Buddhist followers.

Established in 1979, Hantaek Botanical Garden features the nation’s largest botanical garden which houses total of 9,700 plant species including 2,400 species of wild plants and 7,300 species of foreign plants. Along with various domestic and international plant species, the botanical garden makes an effort in research studies through the botanical lab, interactions with domestic and international botanical gardens and modernized facilities. 💡 Overview

Bogwangsa Temple is a traditional temple located on the foothills of Goryeongsan Mountain in Paju. It was built by Great Monk Doseonguksa during the Silla Kindom period under the order of Queen Jinseong in AD 894. At the time, it was considered a hidden national treasure and one of the six grand temples located on the northern side of the Hangang River. In was once ruined during the Imjin War, and reconstructed in 1622 by Monk Seolmi and Monk Deogin. In 1667, Monk Jigan and Monk Seok Ryeon reconstructed Daeungbojeon Hall and Gwaneumjeon Hall.
