Hello! Here is the detailed information for ‘Yangpyeong Kudun Closed Station (양평 구 구둔역)’.

💡 Overview

This is a simple station that closed in 2012, and the waiting room, the station office, the railroad that stretched out toward one point, and the vehicles that stopped there remain intact. Just standing in front of the door where the name of the history is visible or under the trees that are much taller than the history creates an emotional scene. It is decorated as a cultural space in every corner, so you can look around in detail or just enjoy a walk along the railroad tracks. The Garden of Confession, the ground-breaking floor painting, and the train not running are photo points.

💡 Overview

Iryeong Station is a train station that once served the Gyooe Line north of Seoul.

Passenger services ceased in 2004, and after the station master retired in 2013, it saw only occasional freight traffic before closing. In 2025, plans to reopen the line led to the restoration and reopening of the original station building, which now also houses a tourist information center displaying artifacts that showcase the railway line’s past.

With its weathered signs and grass growing along the tracks, Iryeong Station has become a memorable tourist destination accessible from Seoul and a filming location for many movies, commercials, and music videos. One notable example is the 2001 film “My Sassy Girl (2001),” in which The Girl (Jun Ji-hyun) and Gyeon-woo (Cha Tae-hyun) bury a time capsule together at the station before going their separate ways.

Hello! Here is the detailed information for ‘Deokpyeong Eco-Service Area (덕평자연휴게소)’.

💡 Overview

In episode 10 of Doctor Cha, the resolute Jung-suk, who never loses her kind disposition amidst countless adversities, is depicted as an angel, while her husband In-ho, who betrayed his dedicated wife, is portrayed as a devil. This interesting direction is credited to the angel and devil benches on the walkway of Deokpyeong Eco-Service Area. Aside from offering a variety of food and souvenirs typical of Korean rest stops, this rest area also has a garden where you can admire flowers, trees, and various art sculptures. If you’re curious about the unique Korean rest areas, why not drop by Deokpyeong Eco-Service Area?
